Alexander Vindman is a retired United States Army lieutenant colonel who gained national attention for his role as a witness in the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. Born in Ukraine in 1975, he moved to the United States with his family at a young age. Vindman served in the Iraq War and received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in an IED attack.
