Anne Frank was a Jewish girl born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1929. During the Holocaust, her family went into hiding in Amsterdam to escape the Nazis. Anne documented her experiences in her diary, which has become one of the most widely read accounts of the Holocaust. Tragically, Anne and her family were discovered in 1944 and sent to concentration camps.
