Arunima Sinha is an Indian mountaineer who became the first female amputee to conquer Mount Everest. She was born in 1988 in Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Arunima lost her leg in a tragic incident when she was pushed from a running train by robbers in 2011.
