Benjamin Orr (1947-2000) was an American musician best known as the bassist and co-lead vocalist of the rock band The Cars. Born in Lakewood, Ohio, Orr began his musical career in the 1960s and eventually co-founded The Cars in the 1970s. The band achieved commercial success with hits like 'Drive' and 'Just What I Needed'. Apart from his work with The Cars, Orr released a solo album 'The Lace' in 1986.
