Bill Wyman, born as William George Perks Jr. in 1936, is an English musician and songwriter best known as the bassist of The Rolling Stones, one of the most iconic rock bands in history. He joined the band in 1962 and remained a member for over three decades, contributing to its success with his innovative bass playing style. Aside from music, Wyman is also an accomplished photographer and has published several books. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with The Rolling Stones in 1989.
