Biography

Bruno Schulz (1892-1942) was a Polish writer, painter, and teacher of art. He is best known for his innovative and surrealistic short stories that explore themes of memory, identity, and the passage of time. Schulz's works often blur the lines between fantasy and reality, creating a unique and dreamlike narrative style. Despite his relatively small literary output, Schulz is considered one of the most original writers of the 20th century. Tragically, Schulz's life was cut short when he was shot and killed by a Gestapo officer during World War II.
