Cao Cao (155-220 AD) was a Chinese warlord and statesman who rose to power during the late Eastern Han dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period. Known for his military expertise, political cunning, and literary talent, Cao Cao played a key role in the unification of northern China. He founded the state of Cao Wei and is often portrayed as a complex figure in historical texts, sometimes depicted as a ruthless tyrant and at other times as a visionary leader.
