Biography

Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great, was a medieval emperor who ruled over much of Western Europe from 768 to 814. He expanded the Frankish kingdom into a vast empire that covered modern-day France, Germany, Italy, and other regions. Charlemagne was a skilled military leader and is considered one of the greatest monarchs in European history. He also promoted education and culture throughout his empire, leading to a period known as the Carolingian Renaissance.
