Biography

Chiang Kai-shek was a Chinese nationalist politician, revolutionary, and military leader who served as the leader of the Republic of China. He played a prominent role in the early 20th-century China and was a key figure in the Chinese Civil War against the Chinese Communist Party. Chiang led the Kuomintang party, unified China for a time, and was instrumental in opposing Japanese invasion during World War II. However, his leadership was also marked by authoritarianism and corruption.
