About Anita Borg
Anita Borg (1949-2003) was an American computer scientist who dedicated her career to advocating for women's representation in technology. She founded the Institute for Women and Technology (now called the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology) to support women pursuing careers in computing. Borg also co-founded the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, the world's largest gathering of women technologists.
