About Aslan Maskhadov
Aslan Maskhadov (1951-2005) was a military leader and political figure who served as the president of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria from 1997 to 2005. He played a significant role in the First Chechen War against Russia and later became a key figure in the Chechen independence movement.
