About Bao Dai
Bao Dai was the 13th and final emperor of the Nguyen dynasty, and the last sovereign emperor of Vietnam. He ascended to the throne in 1926 at the age of 12. In 1945, he abdicated the throne following the August Revolution and collaborated with the French and Japanese during his exile. He briefly served as the Chief of State of Vietnam under French control and later abdicated in 1945, going into exile in Hong Kong and later France.
