Bil Keane was an American cartoonist best known for his syndicated comic strip 'The Family Circus'. Born in 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Keane began his career as a staff artist for the Philadelphia Bulletin. In 1960, he launched 'The Family Circus', which gained immense popularity for its humorous and heartwarming portrayal of everyday family life. Keane received numerous awards for his work and continued to create cartoons until his passing in 2011.
