About Blase J. Cupich
Blase J. Cupich is an American prelate of the Catholic Church who is currently serving as the ninth Archbishop of Chicago. He was born in 1949 in Omaha, Nebraska. Cupich was ordained as a priest in 1975 and went on to serve in various church positions, eventually becoming the Bishop of Rapid City in 1998. In 2014, he was appointed as the Archbishop of Chicago by Pope Francis.
