Bob Goodlatte is an American politician and attorney who served as a member of the United States House of Representatives for Virginia's 6th congressional district from 1993 to 2019. He is a member of the Republican Party and was the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee from 2013 to 2019. Goodlatte played a key role in various legislative initiatives related to technology, immigration, and intellectual property rights during his time in office. Before entering politics, he practiced law in Virginia.
