About Ibn Tufail
Ibn Tufail, also known as Abubacer, was an Andalusian Muslim polymath, philosopher, physician, vizier, and court official. He was born in 1105 in Guadix, Spain, and became famous for his philosophical novel 'Hayy ibn Yaqzan,' which tells the story of a solitary child raised by a gazelle on a deserted island. Ibn Tufail's work significantly influenced later philosophers, including Ibn Rushd and Immanuel Kant.
