Boomer Esiason is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons. He was born and raised in East Islip, New York, and went on to have a successful career at the University of Maryland before being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1984 NFL Draft. Esiason is best known for his time with the Bengals, where he earned multiple Pro Bowl selections and was named the NFL Most Valuable Player in 1988.
