Boomer Esiason is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons. He was born and raised in East Islip, New York, and went on to have a successful career at the University of Maryland before being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1984 NFL Draft.
