Brian Mast is an American politician and military veteran who currently serves as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 18th congressional district. He was born on July 10, 1980, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mast served in the U.S. Army as a bomb disposal expert and lost both his legs in a bomb explosion while deployed in Afghanistan. After his military service, he became involved in politics and was elected to Congress in 2016.
