About Brownie McGhee
Brownie McGhee was an influential American folk blues singer and guitarist. Born in 1915 in Tennessee, he moved to New York City where he collaborated with blues harmonica player Sonny Terry for several decades. McGhee's style of Piedmont blues and country blues became well-known, and he recorded numerous albums throughout his career. He was also known for his smooth vocals and intricate guitar playing.
