Charles Hodge (1797–1878) was an American Presbyterian theologian and principal of Princeton Theological Seminary. He was a leading exponent of Reformed theology during the 19th century and played a key role in shaping American Protestantism. Hodge authored numerous theological works, including his influential 'Systematic Theology,' which remains a significant textbook in theological education. As a staunch defender of orthodox Christian beliefs, he contributed to the development of theological thought in the United States.
