Alex Zanardi is an Italian former racing driver who became a paracyclist after a near-fatal crash in 2001 where he lost both of his legs. Before his accident, Zanardi was a successful driver in various racing series, including Formula One and CART. Following the accident, he showed incredible resilience and determination by returning to competitive sports and winning multiple Paralympic gold medals.
