About Andrew Cherng
Andrew Cherng is a Chinese-American billionaire restaurateur who co-founded the fast-food chain Panda Express. Born in 1948 in Yangzhou, China, Cherng immigrated to the United States where he completed his education, obtaining a Bachelor's degree and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering. Together with his father, Cherng opened the first Panda Express restaurant in 1983, which grew rapidly to become one of the largest Chinese food chains in the United States.
