Change

The State is a condition, a certain relationship between human beings, a mode of behavior; we destroy it by contracting other relationships, by behaving differently.

Think of the world as you would have it.

Do not let circumstances control you. You change your circumstances.

Impossible is just a word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it.

I think it's always so magical when you get to flip a stereotype on its head.

Being different is a revolving door in your life where secure people enter and insecure exit.

I think most people ultimately come to their own understanding or acceptance of their influences.

Put me in a hole in the ground with all the things I need. Put me in a boat on the river made of everything I'm not.

Change is good.

I'm only interested in any wave insofar as it is inverted.

I always want to be the unexpected.

Letting go of the beauty in things is part of the essence of life.

Hope is not a lottery ticket you can sit on the sofa and clutch, feeling lucky. It is an axe you break down doors with in an emergency. Hope should shove you out the door, because it will take everything you have to steer the future away from endless war, from the annihilation of the earth's treasures and the grinding down of the poor and marginal.

The world is wrong.

Because white men can’t/ police their imagination/ black people are dying.

We are encrypted by this world to be data.

Don't surrender all your joy for an idea you used to have about yourself that isn't true anymore.

Wherever a horse lies down, a road will follow.

What I’m suggesting is that authoritarianism rises when we cannot face our racial history. But it also rises when we cannot face our history of gender oppression, or our history of capitalism.

Yesterday I would’ve been giddy with opportunity. Yesterday I would’ve said it couldn’t be done. Yesterday I would’ve believed. But it’s March 31, 2050.
