About Bram Fischer
Bram Fischer was a South African lawyer and anti-apartheid activist. He played a key role in the defense team of Nelson Mandela during the Rivonia Trial in 1963-1964. Fischer came from a prominent Afrikaner family but chose to fight against apartheid, leading him to join the Communist Party and work with the African National Congress (ANC). He was ultimately sentenced to life in prison for his political activities and died in 1975 while still in custody.
