About Baltasar Gracián
Baltasar Gracián y Morales was a Spanish Jesuit and baroque prose writer. He was born on January 8, 1601, in Belmonte, Aragon, Spain. Gracián is best known for his work 'The Art of Worldly Wisdom,' a collection of 300 maxims revealing his thoughts on human behavior, morality, and wisdom. He studied at a Jesuit school and later joined the Society of Jesus where he devoted himself to literature and philosophy.
